UniBound follows data-minimization principles. We collect the information needed to provide student resources, personalize the experience and protect the platform.

Data categories

• Account identity: Google OAuth profile information such as email, full name and avatar.
• Student preferences: Selected study country, city, language and display avatar.
• Activity & saved items: Bookmarked student spots, saved travel guides and meetup listings.
• Integrity logs: Anonymized IP and rate-limiting metadata used for anti-abuse protection.

• Transport security: Network traffic is encrypted using current TLS protocols.
• Storage encryption: Cloud database records are encrypted at rest.
• Password isolation: Passwordless OAuth authentication means UniBound does not handle or store account passwords.
• No data brokerage: Personal data is not sold, rented or brokered to commercial advertising networks.

You retain ownership of your personal data. Where applicable, you can request an export of your account data or permanent deletion of your profile.
